The Progressive Jackpots Meter

The amount of the progressive jackpots are shown on a meter as a money value. Usually, the progressive jackpots can be won by winning the combination with the highest payoff while making the largest one hand wager at the progressive game, for example a royal flush at a video poker game or five of the most valuable symbols (lemons, cherries, alligators, it could be anything) on a slot machine while placing the largest bet possible at that game. Once a player wins the progressive jackpots, the jackpots resets to a preset minimum level and starts growing again with every time it is played.

The amount on the progressive jackpots meter increases at small increments for every play made in the casino on a connected progressive jackpots machine. The amount that the progressive jackpot advances by is usually set by the casino or by what is called the house. For example, on a machine whose house edge is 10%, a generous jackpot contribution might be 2% (one fifth of the expected profit). The house is willing to give away some of its the profit of a progressive jackpots linked machine because it attracts online casino players for a few simple reasons:

  1. The novelty of the progressive jackpots (usually only a small part of the house's gaming machines are connected to a particular progressive jackpot)

  2. The changing progressive meter is often displayed on a large eye catching display that attracts players to play and keep on playing.

  3. The "advertised" large amount of the progressive jackpots will attract more casino players to play the game.

Good luck!!!
